Best Audiobook 2021 – HER MOTHER’S GRAVE By Lisa Regan
Josie Quinn had a troubled past, all the time during her life she has been trying to forget those days when she used to be with her mother. After her training, she joined the exclusive profession and completely got lost in it. With no time for her personal life, she forgot all those sad moments which she spent in the presence of Belinda Rose i.e her mother.
Then one day two boys found some buried bones in Josie’s hometown close to her house. Bones were analyzed by the department and according to the report, the bones are more than thirty years old. The next part of the report was more astonishing for Josie i.e the bones are connected to Belinda Rose. The case gets attached to Josie’s mother somehow and she jumps on it in a flash. It’s not long when another dead body is found and it seems there is someone who wants to hide a big secret.
Eilidh Beaton leaves the books such as Breathe Your Last and Vanishing Girls far behind in narration this time. The narration keeps us tied to our chair for hours and you will forget your dinner on the weekend after starting this book. The horror of dead bodies and the terror of the past combine and induce fear in the mind. There is a chance that another dead body will soon appear on the scene if Josie does not take quick steps in investigating this case which is linked to the past and present. Lisa Regan plays well once again in this trilogy and the series is all masterly done with no doubts about it.
