Best Audiobook 2021 – The Last Colony By John Scalzi
The Last Colony is a science fiction novel from the award-winning and bestselling author, John Scalzi. The book is the third chapter in Old Man’s War novel series. The author has shown his class yet again and presented his fans with something special. If you are looking to have a glance at some other notable works by John Scalzi then The Last Emperox and Old Man’s War novels would be right at the top of the heap.
William Dufris this time gets a chance to narrate this novel. He performed very intelligently and modulated his voice perfectly as per the demand of the situation.
John Perry was living a peaceful life in one of the colonies of humanity. It was all until the time when he along with his wife were given an opportunity and it was hard to resist by these ex-super-soldiers of the time. It was the opportunity for them to come out of their retirement and start anew with the frontier world.
However, it didn’t take long for them to find out that they were betrayed. This colony is nothing more than a pawn in an interstellar of diplomacy and war. The Colonial Union of Humanity has taken a stand against a novice and irresistible alien coalition which is working dedicatedly to end human colonization. As things heated up, Perry finds it extremely hard to keep all his terrified colonists alive. However, she struggled hard despite all the terrible politics, treachery, and violence of the interstellar.
The book might not be among the best ones from John Scalzi. However, you will like it if you consider it as an individual science fiction book with no tag of John Scalzi.
