Best Audiobook – Cat and Mouse – Alex Cross Book 4 By James Patterson

Cat and Mouse is a mystery and crime thriller which is the fourth novel in the Alex Cross series. The author of this book is James Patterson as he brings back the villain from the previous books – Gary Soneji. Cross also has to deal with another serial killer known as Mr. Smith in this one. If you’re interested in the author, make sure to check out The Inn. The 20th Victim is also a nice read.

The duo of Jeff Harding and Raj Ghatak has not done a solid job as the narrator of this book. Their pace is horrible and their voice is just not suited for this genre. They make the book sound extremely boring.

105) Alex Cross is back in action and so is Gary Soneji. The latter wants revenge from the former before he dies from the AIDS virus he contracted while in prison. Other than these two, we are introduced to another pain of rivals that cross paths with these two. Thomas Augustine Pierce is trying to get his hands on Mr, Smith since he murdered his fiancée. Smith is so ruthless in his killing that he is supposed to be not from earth. Pierce is the best man to go against him because of his decorated career, which even exceeds that of our very own hero. As the two killers go on the loose, the body count starts piling up. Our heroes need to start taking action before time runs out.

This is the case of a fantastic plot and characters ruined by awful narration. Unless it impedes a listener from continuing with the book, then it can pass. But, most people would rather take the route of reading the book if they want to experience the amazing story by the author.
