The one special ingredient that we find in this series added by the author again and again is the unending passion of Jack Reacher to fight endless battles. The more someone read about Jack the more he is attached to the personality of this flawless hero.

Lee child’s other books like Killing Floor lack the kind of haste that we find especially in this book. Jack like always is helping people in this part as well and this time it’s an old couple who face more than one problem at the same time.

Jack in order to find sometime for himself was on a bus trying to reach an unknown place so that he can get out of trouble but the money problems of the elderly couple stop him once again. As Jack tries to solve the problem of the couple he comes to know that he is perhaps facing the biggest problem of his life. The people from whom the couple had borrowed money were not of any ordinary kind.

Ukrainian and Albanian gangs were the groups whom he finds himself dealing with and thus had no way to escape except to turn around and fight back. Though fighting has never been a problem for Jack but getting into other people’s fights has never been his style. The fight gets a little personal as well because the gangs seem to have some private affairs with rival countries. Scott Brick’s narration is taking the series to a new height after each and every step. The narrator surely has developed the taste of the listeners.
