Book 1 of new Jance series

I’ve read all the Beaumont and Johanna Brady books over the years-especially liked Beaumont’s tough gritty cop and if you haven’t read these now somewhat dated stories, they are still worth perusing.

I was interested in this new series and thought I’d try the first..and found it very enjoyable, written with Jance’s usual tight plot intrigues and containing sufficient side story arcs to keep my interest as I recover from surgery..audio books are the best things for recovering in a nursing home where you share a room-can’t sleep? Can’t keep the light on all night? Get out the iPad and headphones and listen until you do fall asleep.

I’ve already purchased books 2 & 3 in the series, even though there are negative reviews, I want to make my own mind up about it.

Review 2: Edge of Evil – Ali Reynolds Book 1 audiobook by donna

Light mystery

This was an ok book–good for light reading between more serious suspense/mysteries. It is worth the credit but certainly not the best around. I have read quite a few of her books in another series which I think I like better but this one wasn’t bad. It took me awhile to get used to the narrator ( I thought she was going to ruin it for me) but once I did , she was ok.

Not Bad

I’m trying out new authors.
Storyline not bad, some interesting characters introduced, I can’t say I loved the book and couldn’t put it down but it kept me intrigued .
I would like to continue with the next book in the serious to be able to give a proper review.
I do recommend giving this book a try if you are new to the author.
