Free Online Audiobook – London Bridges By James Patterson – Thriller & Suspense Audiobook

London Bridges is the tenth novel in the Alex Cross series authored by James Patterson. It is a crime, mystery, and psychological thriller. It features the well known former Washington, D.C. homicide detective and forensic psychologist. In this book, he is currently an FBI agent. If you haven’t been keeping up with the series, consider the previous book The Big Bad Wolf. Also, if you want to read the sequel to this, check out Mary, Mary.

The narration has been performed by Peter J. Fernandez and Denis O’Hare. While there is nothing special about their narration, there isn’t much to criticize either. However, the quality of the recording could have been improved. Also, it would be best if they lose the sound-effects that play between chapters.

It is daytime in Sunrise Valley, Nevada. A mysterious platoon of soldiers rushes into the city to perform evacuation. After the entire population has been evacuated, a huge bomb explodes a hundred feet above the ground. It lays waste to buildings, cars, and playgrounds.

Alex Cross is on vacation when he gets the news. A Russian supercriminal that goes by the name The Wolf claims responsibility. Surveillance footage of the blast also shows the Weasel as part of this plan at the site of the bombing. He is also one of Cross’s worst rivals.

Now, Alex is tasked with the responsibility to prevent further chaos. As he confronts his enemy, he is revealed to a secret that even he may not be able to stomach.

This novel holds its ground compared to the other books in the series. There is nothing extraordinary about it. But at this point, we know what to expect from the series. We’re far too invested to back down at this point so might as well give it a try.
