Thus enters the daring cop Billy Harney whose father was once in the detective field and he was not an ordinary man in Chicago. Another one in the department is Billy’s twin sister who too is a top gun of the department. 

This tough competition at home and in the field has made Billy tougher than he looks. Lastly there is Kate Fenton who is Billy’s partner for ages and they have solved many cases together. At the start of the story there are some changes in the authority and Amy Lentini joins the department with no good thoughts about the town’s so-called super cop. She thinks that Billy just poses these things to become famous, originally he is nothing.

 Circumstances provide Billy a time to prove his worth but the case leads him and his partner to a brothel which the elite of the state visit on regular intervals. First issue is the dead body but then there spreads the news about the disappearance of the Black book.

 Everyone knows that the Black book is important for the entire elite society and if it goes in the wrong hands it can bring disaster in the entire upper class. The The Summer House and The 20th Victim  were never such hasty, here Edoardo Ballerini starts the narration in the last gear.

 Time is running out for Billy and Kate to prove their worth in the department and in front of Amy Lentini.
