Good Intentions is the first literary fiction book in the Good Intentions series by author Elliott Kay.
He knew it was a stupid stunt from the start. Running through the cemetery in the middle of the night to impress a few girls isn’t something in the lore, but Alex Carlisle longs to escape the obnoxious mediocrity after high school.

He stumbles across rituals, cultists, and two bound and bloody women. Alex intervenes, and the ritual explodes in his face, leaving him bound to both: Rachel and Lorelei, an angel and a succubus. The challenge a boy can face with dignity while he is still living at home with his mother.

Alex never imagined falling in love with an undead demon or that he would spend his nights dodging her co-workers, her former boss, and every other supernatural freak in Seattle. He never thought a woman like Lorelei could have a rival like Rachel. But then, no one ever said adulthood would be easy.
A young man meets an Angel and a Succubus in an unusual way and must cooperate with them on something. It has been done before. However, the binding aspect is less. What makes it stand out, however, is the characters and how developed they are:

Alex is a dictionary of all people. Not perfect, but nonetheless a good man. It’s nice to see those things pass as needed, that’s more than I can say unlike others before and after him. He’s not cocky, but he’s not meek either, but he has his expectations of being trustworthy. Just a decent balance. I really like how he pulls himself out of trouble, especially towards the end with his unlocked combat abilities. So great.

Lorieli is an interesting character. Despite being a god, she has a dignified aura and has practiced silence for centuries. You don’t feel the bad bad for all the what she he was going through since the beginning of your career as a seducer. Although she has a vengeful side, on the contrary she is relaxed and wise. Even when she finally admits to manipulating Alex, she reminds him that she still loves him. I’m not spontaneous, but I’m not angry either. They both know what they are putting themselves in.
