Icebreaker – James Bond Book 3

Icebreaker is a mystery novel in the James Bond series by author John Gardner.
Bond reluctantly finds himself recruited to a dangerous mission involving an equally dangerous and treacherous alliance of agents from the Israeli CIA, KGB and Mossad.
Icebreakers” waste no time getting past each other, as they attempt to remove the leader of the murderous National Socialist Action Army, Count Konrad von Gloda, a former SS officer who is now self-identified as the New Adolf Hitler.

Bond teams up with agents from the KGB (Russia), CIA and Mossad to stop a Nazi terrorist group. For a secret agent book, nobody is very secretive; everyone knows everyone. Everyone, except Bond and the required evil genius, starts out as a good guy, turns into a bad guy, and ends up being a good person again.
I did notice certain similarities, aside from Bond’s way of dealing with women drinking and cars. People always knew who Bond really was, and Bond was always arrested and tortured – maybe because people always knew who he really was.
