Little Fires Everywhere – Full Audiobook By Celeste Ng
The novel depicts change that people can bring along with themselves as they try to get themselves mixed in a new civilization. Richardson family the conservative sort has not permitted any change in the family trends and norms.
They live their lives on the pattern that was set by their ancestors and adapting new fashions and trends is strictly forbidden to them. Not only the family but the entire region has this style of living their lives, for them everything is decided in advance and anew experiment is not needed at all. But that was the scene before the entrance of the mother and daughter to the scene.
Mia and Pearl take one part of the house on rent but very soon they start influencing the minds of the new generation in a big way. The magic of their personality’s change the whole family and the rules set by Elena goes down in a big way. Mia not only carries the charm in her personality but there is a past linked to her that she wants to hide from the people among which she looks settled.
The differences between Elena and Mia reach their peak when the Richardson family starts a debate related to the adoption of a baby. Mia and Elena get a chance to openly talk against one another and the ideas that they have in their minds about life.
Celeste Ng got fame through books like Everything I Never Told You but this book is a masterpiece. All the cultural, social and personal aspects of life are touched by the author in the story and the battle between the two women is fight between two cultures and two different concepts of living. Jennifer Lim looks better in narration when she narrates Mia and since the two are entirely different getting hold of both of them was always an uphill task.
