This series has some similarities to the Leira Beren series. A woman police officer, FBI not detective this time. She early in the book is adopted by a troll. And is a badass, then all the main characters in all these series that Michael ( the co author) is associated with are strong young women who can hold their own in almost any situation. The series looks to be a good one.
