Mr. X was the first Clarissa Wild I read. I was looking to read a dark book and my friend, Savannah, suggested this one so I picked it up and said why not. I am very particular with my evening readings. I know not everything that happens in there is real – if I want to be realistic I just turn on the news. I want it to be dark and dirty. Grumpy and vulgar, vile, disgusting and extremely erotic (in a dark brutal way). Clarissa delivered all that and more to Mr. X.

What I love most about Mr. X is that I understand exactly why he is the way he is. His childhood was anything but. Growing up in a family of hired killers, he had seen and heard things that could make the healthiest man lose his lunch. He is forced to grow up and mature quickly if he wants to survive. His family doesn’t care about his feelings or the fact that he had a normal childhood, they all care about the dollar. If you do wrong or disobey orders, you will be dealt with in the most disturbing ways.
