02- This is a good book, you will be immersed in the world of Odd Billy Todd. His parents knew he had a learning disability, but they trained him all his life with him so Billy could be independent. He thinks through, scrutinizes, plans carefully, and is persistent in execution. He kept a notebook, he was extremely careful and his parents trained him in anything that could arise including the apocalypse. A terrible plague has killed almost everyone in the world. Those left behind must be resourceful, some intelligent. Billy gathered some people in the valley where his family had a farm. They form relationships, work hard, and fight to survive the tough times. The world of farming in the valley is fascinating and the people seem as real as the people in my neighborhood.

Even though there are no zombies, there are bad guys and a train. Just enough tension to keep it moving. There are also some dogs that are great characters – especially Rommel, Billy’s dog. The book will not disappoint the reader. The narrator is excellent. I enjoyed listening to his pleasant voice and various accents.

03- This is a story about a well-bred young man, with an old soul surviving an illness that killed most people. He and the people who come into his life survive the land and scavenge to improve their lives, battling the villains that lurk behind the fall of civilization. Simple people survive an extraordinary time. Billy Todd is a kind person. Not your usual apocalyptic story.
