(Online Free Full Audiobook) The Road By Cormac McCarthy

The Road is a genre fiction novel written by Cormac McCarthy. He is known for his excellent writing style and ability to craft inspiring characters that leaves a long-lasting impression on the hearts and minds of the audience. The Road is one such novel. A few of his other brilliant novels include the likes of All the Pretty Horses and No Country for Old Men.

The narration of this novel is done by Tom Stechschulte. He is an experienced narrator but the performance in this novel was just average. He apparently lacked energy in his performance, which was the main reason being pointed out by the followers and critics of this audiobook.

America is known as a landscape full of smoldering ashes. In the middle of this destruction, a father along with his son walk towards the coast. He had no actual idea that the circumstances would get better once they reached. They actually preserve still and the relationship they had comes to portray goodness in a place full of devastation.

The Road is a bleak but a fantastic story. It comes with its touches of humor and hope. The critics rate it as the best novel of Cormac McCarthy so far. Overall, it is a must read/ listen novel for having a great balance in every aspect.

The Road novel has seen phenomenal success in its print and audio version both. The book is emotional and the vocabulary of Cormac is just outstanding. However, his ability to play with the characters along with a quite strong storyline is absolutely amazing.  The book went on to win the prestigious Pulitzer Prize in 2007 in the fiction category.
