Phantom is the tenth love and romance book in the Sword of Truth series by author Terry Goodkind. This is the author’s best-selling book. The content is about Kahlan Amnell who has become the most dangerous woman alive. She remembers nothing but her name. For others, it was the day the world began to end. Her husband Richard desperately searches for his lover, knowing that if she doesn’t find out who she really is soon, she will become an instrument of destruction. Kahlan learns that if she unlocks the truth about her lost identity, evil itself will eventually possess her, body and soul.

Here are some comments from readers to better understand this good audiobooks:
01- The story is like most of the other storylines of the book. The desperate struggle for Richard and Kahlan to be together but everything is conspiring against them. There are a few interesting things in this book about how magic works and the like. I find that Goodkind is more anti-religious in this book than in other books he has worked on.
02- I loved this book so much, I couldn’t resist giving up on this fascinating story. The construction of the spell and some scenes depicting the atrocities still going on. The people who continue to be characters are going to do it in their own lives and for the other scenes it’s horrible because we need to get a sense of the horror.
03- There are several chapters dedicated to the characters describing what happened when her city was attacked. We know Order murders, rapes, and plunders. But really, how many more times can Richard get caught in the series and separated from Kahlan? How many times could he be separated from his magic, a magic that he somehow couldn’t understand? He seems to be able to figure everything else out without a problem.
04- I feel particular emphasis in the review. There was so much time to threaten to rape Kahlan that, I almost wanted Jagang to do it for us to move on. Goodkind decided that the threat of raping a woman was the pinnacle of evil, so he used it every time he wanted to put a woman in danger. It’s really frustrating – as someone who doesn’t want to think about raping this often. I wish he had an editor who could show that a little goes a long way and it’s time to add something new to the mix.
05- Terry Goodkind paints an image of an amazing magical world filled with not only beauty and wonder, but also dark and brutal truths about man’s own cruelty to his fellow human beings. Goodkind shows us the terrible tool that blind fanaticism can wield upon those whose real goals are greed, power, and glory. In Richard Rahl, he created a hero who struggles against an overwhelmingly ruthless army. Harsh choices as his world slowly crumbles under the heels of his enemies, adopting tactics as brutal as those he faces. Richard was considered by all around him as the only hope. The race is on to see if Richard can learn to master these powers before the Dream Walker Jagang enslaves the entire world. The story of Richard and Kahlan’s love becomes the center of the plot.
