Phoenix and Ashes – Elemental Masters Book 3
Phoenix and Ashes is the third book in the Elemental Masters series by author Mercedes Lackey. The story’s content is about the dark and atmospheric combination of the fairy tale Cinderella, an intelligent young English girl who was turned into a virtual slave by her evil stepmother. Her hope of rescue came in the form of a scarred World War I pilot of noble blood, whose own power over the elements became necessary.
Here are some comments from readers to better understand this good audiobooks:
01- This story is fun. There’s a Cinderella vibe to it but it doesn’t ruin the story. Creating your own magic using Elemental Magic and wonderfully written characters.
02- War is Hell’ is not mentioned in the story. What any veteran of the war will tell you, it changes a person. People who have gone through their own experiences and horrors like Reggie’s grandfather did in the story. The book explains well what it could have been during World War I and the English countryside. I love how the Tarot and Egyptian motifs are integrated into Eleanor’s learning process. Here’s an interesting take on how Elemental Magic can work in this world, there are many different types of directions used in this book.
03-The story is about the Heroine. The character Cinderella has good reason not to stand out on her own, the intelligence and character to get through and out of the situation. The heroine has a pillar and earns her own freedom. Cinderella stands on her own without doing all the work for her. The characters in the story have the character of mutual love and affection, against fine customs and traditions towards happiness forever.
04 – This is excellent writing, good character development, and Lackey builds the story from three different points of view: heroine, hero, and villain. The study and reimagining of the World War I world scene is fascinating, especially as we near the 100th anniversary of that moment in history. The development of the general magic system in Series.
05- This story around Cinderella is surprisingly well written. Michelle Ford did a great job with the narration! Miss Mercedes Lackey’s Imagination and Imagining Skill is a Genius! Her Spirit Masters should be made into a mini-series for television! All of her Novels are just as wonderful. Phoenix and Ashes tells a clever tale of Cinderella, where a stepmother ties her to a fireplace and serves with magic. The book refers to an evil creature as an evil stepmother. Magical content is the heart of the plot. The story content will not disappoint readers, the favorite author of many.
