The Predator is a literary fiction book by author Patricia Cornwell

Florida is rife with predators, from animals that thrive in its heat to humans stalking shopping malls, and they all bring Dr. Kay Scarpetta, an expert. forensics, opportunity and means to do what she does best: convince the dead to talk to her.

The exciting fourteenth book of The Scarpetta Series. Scarpetta has moved to Florida and she’s after another depraved killer who kidnaps, tortures, and kills women. During the investigation, she meets a Celebrity Shrink, Dr. Laura Self, who is seeing Marino and is also one of the victims in the case and Lucy finds out that she has a brain tumor and one of the victims. the woman with whom she had a one-night stand. related to this case. Benson is working at McLean Hospital and doing research on sexual sadists, including a convicted serial killer who is linked to the killer Scarpetta is currently hunting.

This is one of Cornwell’s later books. I find it difficult to participate but there is no way I can’t complete it. All of her characters
progressed together through her novels, growing old together and moving across the states. Her characters are complex and well portrayed in all of her novels. The plot is realistic, often bloody and everything is well described. I always look forward to the next Cornwell book.
