No one plays like Reed Olson, whether it’s hockey season or not. After consecutive NHL championships, he craved a bit of R&R. Reed leans towards a particular type of person – blonde, busty and amused – and luckily, he has a small black notebook full of options. So why can’t he stop dreaming about the girl who just moved in next door? A certified intellect, she doesn’t seem to want anything to do with the athlete with a solid body.

Josie Ives desperately needs something her famous neighbor clearly doesn’t have: loneliness. Reed was everything she imagined – a little too good-looking, with a body that would put the Greek gods to shame. But she didn’t expect him to be funny and charming as well. Josie knows she’s the opposite of his type, and that’s fine with her.

The chemical reaction between them is undeniable. Their newfound friendship certainly has its benefits, but she begins to wonder if opposites really attract.

Josie and Reed are so cute together. He slept with stupid, shallow girls because it was so easy and he could never call them back after he was done. Josie is smart and doesn’t play games like that, so he has to work hard to get into a relationship with her and that helps him realize what he wants. They get along, he treats her well and tries to understand things with her ex. Josie was able to expand her life outside of work and befriend the women in Cold Fury.
This is pretty short and fly-through. The characters are hilarious and this is a great series.
