But I killed people, I bargained, and then… I got married.

I won’t divulge anything but I have to say- NEVER in my life have I been so drawn to a story. In most series, you basically know what to expect in the middle of the first book. This series kept me guessing until the end. Cleverly written with easy-to-understand characters that make it impossible not to love or hate some of them but then love them again. I read all three in three days.. like I didn’t sleep – read while fixing my hair, eating and (don’t tell anyone) even at two social gatherings. I became extremely attached to the characters and fell in love with Cat!! I’m pretty sad now that it’s over.. definitely one of my three favorite series.

I feel bad that Catori is stuck in between Ace and Kajika. You can only feel her frustration. That would drive me crazy! One thing FINALLY happened that I was really looking forward to was that we finally got to Neverra!

As much as I love this story, Cat and Ace’s behavior really annoys me. Cat’s decisions are extremely rushed and literally take only two seconds before making big changes in her life. I just don’t buy the “protect Ace” thing and feel like she should have been more open to him or at least sat down on the idea for a longer period of time to make sure it’s really the right thing to do. right. Plus, I really wish Ace would fight for her more instead of being cruel and acting like a kid.

Aside from personal and extremely minor annoyances that don’t affect the overall enjoyment of the story, I really love the world and this series and expect much more from this author!
