My least favorite of this series by far. I found it lacking the usual page-turning plot, drama, and any form of sensuality. Considering how much I generally enjoy these books and have read the series more than once, this book would not be rereading or recommending to my friends list. Lots of very repetitive descriptions of the physical attributes of the characters that we’ve heard in all the other books, the only character development that seems to be Nathanial becoming less and less appealing as time goes on. every minute. There are so few stories that I don’t think it would be a problem to skip this book entirely and hope the sequel gets back on track.
