Shadows Rising World Of Warcraft Shadowlands – Online Audiobook
Shadows Rising – World of Warcraft, Book 24, Online Audiobook By: Madeleine Roux
A brand new official prequel novel for Shadowlands, the next expansion to Blizzard Entertainment’s legendary online game World of Warcraft.
“There’s nothing wrong with the Black Clan!” With those infamous words, Sylvanas Windrunner betrayed and abandoned the Horde she swore to serve. The Dark Lady and her forces now operate in the shadows as both the Horde and the Alliance, including her sister, Alleria, race to discover her next move. Struggling to shoulder the heavy burden of leadership, King Anduin entrusted the void elf and High Exarch Turalyon to investigate Sylvanas’ whereabouts.
The Horde was now standing at a crossroads. The different factions form a council, leaving the warrior’s cloak. Thrall, Lor’themar Theron, Baine Bloodhoof, First Mage Thalyssra, and many more familiar faces take on this new challenge. But the threats are many, and the mistrust is too deep.
When the council is derailed by a failed assassination attempt on Talanji – queen of Zandalari and key ally – Thrall and the rest of the Horde chiefs are forced into action. They empower young troll mage Zekhan, still grieving the loss of Varok Saurfang, with an important mission to aid Talanji and help uncover the growing threat against her.
Meanwhile, Nathanos Blightcaller and Sira Moonwarden have been tasked by the Dark Lady with a terrifying gamble: to slay the troll themselves, Bwonsamdi.
As Zekhan and Talanji work to save Bwonsamdi, their journey will be an important turning point in fortifying the Horde against the coming darkness and finding themselves along the way. Failure to save their allies and rogue gods will surely destroy them – but through success, they may rediscover what makes the Horde so powerful.
I love all the little details added that only a true fan would know. The story is fantastic and includes all the Warcraft characters we know so well. Sometimes, her descriptions are quite wordy. I’ve read about Dazalor’s golden sparkle, but then again, I’ve lived there most of the time so I’m tired of the giant pyramid ready. I think it’s a very good book and would recommend it to any WoW lore buff out there.
I like the constant change of the scenario and perhaps understand it better after playing Shadowlands. Both sides’ actions make sense and I feel how grieving Talanji is. She describes the steps from discontent to ending at acceptance. Also, the zappi boy is being him. He certainly has room to grow but was made to do so because so much has happened in a short amount of time.
