Siege is a literary fiction book by author K.F. Breene.
The ground became eerily quiet. Everyone was waiting for some sign that Xandre could be defeated. That someone would stand up to him, and win.

With Shanti commanding the shots and Cayan’s fighting know-how, it seems certain that the Chosen One could be the catalyst. That they can lead the oppressed to freedom.

But Xandre did not happen to be the Supreme Being, and he did not intend to let his right to rule be taken away so easily. He had begun to muster his forces, and with the entire land under his control, gaining a foothold seemed impossible.

The final battle is underway, and the winner is still undecided.

This is a wonderfully written series. The depth of the plot and the characters are amazing. I love the supporting characters as well as Male H and Female H. I have invested in seeing their survival as much as the main characters. The description was visually appealing to the imagination.

The author did a great job of writing strong and real-life female characters. The many women in different power roles are amazing. Love how the story transcends the boundaries of traditional female roles. These are women who are strong in leadership roles but still exude femininity, love and respect. It is done.

I couldn’t put these books down and ended up raving my way. If this series were an example of this author’s writing style, I would definitely check out the other series as well.

There’s so much action in the Warrior Chronicles series, and this book doesn’t disappoint. You can always count on the exciting fight scenes and humor throughout these books. I love Shanti and Cayan, but there are a lot of side characters that are very important, funny and interesting. Sanders is a personal favorite of mine! The series has so far remained cohesive, engaging and interesting. You really can never go wrong with KF Breene!
