I read this book in high school, I bought it right after I first read Rules of Prey. John Sandford has an unparalleled ability to not only make the characters he writes come to life in your mind, but to really crave his sequel. I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and lost the ability to read my beloved Prey series because my eyes wandered around after the first page. Then I found the book to have great audio, I’ve heard other performers read them but it’s the way Richard Ferrone reads it that I like better. His tenor and fluency keep you mesmerized from start to finish. And as with all Mr. Sandford’s books are lying on the edge of your chair for the sequel.
