Escaped from the perfect life in New York City, Melinda signed the papers and set out to restore the home’s natural beauty. When one day an angry Lowe appeared at her door – with a scowl on his handsome, sculpted face and a shotgun in his muscular, powerful arm.

Melinda is about to get a lesson about life in the South, but Lowe is also about to learn a lesson of her own – this city girl doesn’t back down from a fight.

Performance is good. It’s a pity that the story features supposedly ‘enlightened’ characters that offer some clearly unenlightened perspectives.

There are a number of things going through that make me pause, a comment from the female lead to her gay BFF stating that his flamboyant way of dressing isn’t “normal” and her embarrassing remarks. and other characters. But I stuck it out. Then, with just over an hour to go, the male lead tried to tell a gay Black character that the Confederate flag didn’t represent racism or hate, and he knew the truth. because he majored in History, and I had to give up. It’s bad enough trying to give out historically inaccurate information, but to do so using a Black LGBTQ+ character who then responds with a “thanks for teaching” response. sex me” is too faint.
