Target America By Scott McEwen – Best Selling Audiobook

Target America is a thriller and a war story written by Scott McEwen and Thomas Koloniar. This novel is the second in the series known as Sniper Elite. Scott is experienced with long-range hunting rifles and his knowledge made him the best choice to write a #1 New York Times bestseller titled American Sniper. Brian Hutchison is an amazing narrator for this audiobook. He makes it sound real as if it is happening right in front of our eyes.

The Chechen terrorists have managed to smuggle a Cold War-era nuclear bomb into America through the Mexican border. The President calls in the only unit who is capable who handling the situation – Nave SEAL sniper Gil Shannon and his team of Delta Force fighters and SEALs. Gil and his team were disbanded from the military after they had defied direct orders from above and instead chose to save the life of their comrade.

However, circumstances caused the President to bring them all in for one operation. Thus, they were reunited as an off-the-books Special Operations unit to race against the clock and save the nation from impending destruction. Many of his team members had gone rogue, but looking at this opportunity and the stakes involved, they had to join forces for this one.

This is one of the best books in this genre. It represents the story in a very realistic way owing to the author’s background in combats. The best thing about this book is that the protagonists are just as vulnerable as the antagonists. There is no plot armor protecting our heroes. Thus, the unpredictability factor plays in favor of this novel.
