I lost patience with this novel from the start. The setup is quite complicated and unattractive. I tried to keep listening and was rewarded with an incredibly moving story. Sometimes the details are so targeted that I gape. I believe I have forgiven myself for feeling some emotions expressed. Well done, Clare Pooley! Anna Cordell added a lot to reading this story. Her emphasis makes the moments even more poignant.

This is one of the best books I have read in a long time. It is highly recommended during this dark time in our country. I really miss it all. The characters when the book was made. Bring joy to your life and read this sweet story and maybe learn something about yourself to be more authentic along the way.
