Although they fail to save the victim they become evidence against the criminal. Alex Ford a Secret Service Agent comes to them in search of something big and asks them to join his campaign. Members of the Camel Club never thought they would get so much importance. Thus the campaign starts as the four long-forgotten men start a new journey towards glory.

David Baldacci wrote Split Second and Simple Genius and other books like these about young and energetic people. Most of the old heroes were ex-agents before this, these four guys are just nothing but they have the zeal to do big things. Jonathan Davis highlights the Camel Club more than Alex Ford while narrating the novel because they are the real heroes according to the author. It is their dream about bringing the government officials to justice by bringing the truth to light which comes true in the novel.
