The Collapsing Empire By John Scalzi

The Collapsing Empire marks the start of a new series with the title The Interdependency. It is a science fiction fantasy and marvelously written by John Scalzi. He is a brilliant American writer of science fiction fantasies and also the ex-president of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America. The author has provided science fiction lovers with several exciting novels. A couple of his most renowned novels with excessive readership are The Last Emperox and Old Man’s War.

The narration of this chapter is done by Wil Wheaton. The narration unfortunately was not that good as Wil lacked variation in his voice and it went pretty flat.

Our universe is something that is ruled by the laws of Physics. It is a place where traveling faster than light is not possible at all but until The Flow discovery. It was an extradimensional field that we could access at some points the space that manages to transport us to the other worlds in the universe surrounded by other stars.

Humanity flows into space and well away from Earth. A new empire is created in some time and completely forgets our home. That new empire is Interdependency and it requires no outpost is capable of surviving without the others. It is nothing but a hedge opposing the interstellar war, and perhaps a system helping the ruler to control the empire.

The Flow by all means is eternal, but still, it isn’t static at all. It changes just like a river would change its course.

The Collapsing Empire is amazing and the audience loved it as a whole. However, John could have done better with his character development and making physics look real.
