Contrary to some of the other reviews, I simply love this collection!
I’ve read (or listened to) most of the novels that involve many of these stories, and I think that’s what makes the main difference in enjoyment – for me, these aren’t just short stories. where to go (as some others seem to think), but in some cases a supplement (providing additional information) to known stories and a prequel or sequel in cases other.
For those unfamiliar with the back stories, let this be a trailer to guide you through the next books to add to your collection. If you look at it that way, this is a great collection.
And even if you don’t intend to follow any of the stories, they are interesting enough to make this audiobook worthwhile.
The thirteen stories in Eternal Kiss: 13 Vampire Tales of Blood and Desire are all excellently completed. Certainly some of them please me more than others but I am thoroughly delighted with each one.
I love seeing different things about vampires as a whole. Some have a very negative view of the state of vampires and others do not. Some vampires can appear during the day and others burdened by the curse cannot stand the sun.
There’s a lot of variety here despite the general theme.
Some stories have a heavy horror theme while others are a bit lighter.
