The House of Hades is a young adult fantasy novel written by Rick Riordan and is the fourth book in The Heroes of Olympus series. The book was published on October 8, 2013, by Disney-Hyperion. Along the way, they face various challenges and monsters, including encountering a group of Roman demigods led by Reyna Avila Ramírez-Arellano.

Percy and Annabeth navigate through Tartarus and encounter various monsters and obstacles while trying to reach the Doors of Death. They eventually meet Bob, a Titan who has lost his memory and becomes their ally. Together, they fight their way through Tartarus until they finally reach the Doors of Death.

Meanwhile, the other five demigods face their own challenges as they journey towards Epirus. They encounter various mythological creatures and battle monsters while also dealing with personal issues. Eventually, they reach the House of Hades where they must face their greatest fears to close the Doors of Death.

In the end, all seven demigods reunite and battle Gaea’s forces in Greece. They manage to defeat Gaea and save the world from destruction. However, not all of them make it out alive.

The House of Hades is a thrilling adventure that explores themes such as friendship, sacrifice, and overcoming fears. It is a must-read for fans of Rick Riordan’s previous works and anyone who enjoys action-packed fantasy novels.

At the end of The Mark of Athena, Annabeth and Percy fall into a pit leading directly to the Underworld. The remaining five demigods must put aside their grief and follow Percy’s instructions to find the mortal part of the Doors of Death. If they can fight past Gaea’s forces, and Percy and Annabeth can survive the House of Hades, then the Seven will be able to seal the Door from both sides and prevent the giants from feeding Gaea . But, Leo wondered, if the Door was sealed, how could Percy and Annabeth escape?

They have no choice. If the demigods fail, Gaea’s army will never die. They don’t have time. In about a month, the Romans would enter Camp Half-Blood. The stakes are higher than ever in this adventure deep into Tartarus.

The House of Hades was a great read.. I have really enjoyed reading/listening to it, too many events right from the start of the book.. There was many new characters and too many old characters coming back.. some of them get a crucial part in this book and others just pass by.
