The Legion of Flame follows the four main characters as they embark on a dangerous journey to uncover the secrets behind the enigmatic White Drake, as well as dealing with their own personal struggles. Clay struggles with his own identity as a drake-blood and as a human, while Lizanne faces the prospect of betraying her own people for the greater good. As they journey across the world, they encounter a variety of allies and enemies, such as rival Blood-blessed and powerful factions. They also discover that the White Drake is not the only powerful being that wants to shape the world’s destiny. The story begins with Clay, Lizanne and Hilmore and a new POV in Sirus. The world building is really well done, the characters are more elaborate and the questions are being answered. As well as more is put up. However, unlike the previous book that I almost couldn’t put down, this one took a bit of effort to keep reading. Not sure why, other than that I really don’t care about Lizanne’s political mission. Necessary for the story, but not easy for me to read through. Hilmore was awesome, wish he had more parts. Clay, poor guy, can’t seem to rest. I look forward to the next book.

I don’t think I enjoy reading a series as much as I love this series in…. I don’t even know how long. I told everyone I knew about it, because the books were so amazing, I didn’t want to think about anyone in my life who hadn’t read them. Love the characters, love the premise, love the concept and I’m totally on Team Corrick.
