There is a book for everything….

Somewhere in the vast Library of the Universe, as Natalie thought about it, there was a book that represented exactly what she was worried about.

After a horrific tragedy, Natalie Harper inherits her mother’s charming but financially tight bookstore in San Francisco. She also became the caretaker for her ailing grandfather Andrew, her only living relative – not counting her scoundrel father.

But the gruff, deeply kind Andrew was beginning to show signs of decline. Natalie thinks it’s best to transfer him to a assisted living facility to make sure he gets the care he needs. To pay for it, she plans to close the bookstore and sell the derelict but valuable building on historic Perdita Street, which is in constant need of repair. There’s only one problem – Grandpa Andrew owns the building and refuses to sell it. Natalie admired her grandfather; she will do whatever it takes to make the last years of his life happy. Besides, she loves the store and its books offer welcome solace in her overwhelming grief.

After moving into the small studio apartment above the store, Natalie fulfilled her grandfather’s request and hired contractor Peach Gallagher to do the necessary and ongoing repairs. His young daughter, Dorothy, also became a regular at the store, and she and Natalie began reading together while Peach worked.

To Natalie’s surprise, her sadness begins to melt away as her life becomes an unexpected journey filled with new connections, discoveries and revelations, from unearthing artifacts hidden in hidden treasures. wall of the bookstore, to discover the truth about her family, her future, and her own heart.

I LOVE this book….everything about it! I heard it on audio and couldn’t stop. I was walking while listening to books – my pandemic therapy. I started The Lost and Found Bookshop in a two hour walk, then couldn’t stop listening to it. Then I was sad when I finished it. Then I listened to the last three chapters again. Then I tell all who will listen how well written and wonderful it is!

Absolutely fantastic book and reading performance. The story unraveled and now I’m forever sucked into the lives of the characters. Heartwarming, this book follows the life of Natalie Harper as she discovers who she is and what really matters.

A delightful story about many types of love: mother and daughter, father and daughter, grandfather and granddaughter, and above all: true friendship. Highly recommended; trigger alerts about the death of a loved one and illness of a loved one.
