The Secret of Paris is an unforgettable story about a time when people tried to protect each other and a love that, despite everything, lasts a lifetime.

This is my second time listening to The Paris Secret. I forgot a lot of things that made it as enjoyable as the first time. It is a passionate account of wartime heroes and heroines. It is very clever in concept, the gradual reveal of the characters combined with a sensitive depiction of each individual’s unique personality. The intense love of a couple who seems to be unable to bond because of secrecy and war. Truly the most beautiful book I never wanted to finish!

I can’t stop listening to this book that is both engaging and loving. The storytellers are absolutely perfect. One of the best books on my favorites list. Readers and listeners will not be disappointed.

This is the most extraordinary love story. And I will read it again. I am devastated by the horrors of war, by the loss of time with family and friends who are still there and who have passed away. Thank you for bringing to light the dealings of human kindness after the war. Thank you for sharing Miss Dior’s personal story and for bringing new insights into the next generation of survivors. I now have a new compassion and empathy for that generation of survivors. lest we forget.
