The Plus / Self Help For People Who Hate Self Help, Audiobook Online By: Greg Gutfeld

Greg Gutfeld wants to be your new master, and he hates himself for it.

Before becoming a Fox News star and New York Times bestselling author, Greg Gutfeld was a self – help writer for health magazines who didn’t know what he was talking about. But now, after years of experience, he finally feels qualified to guide people on the journey of life – call this book his punishment for his sins and your great reward!

In The Plus, Greg teaches you how to brainwash yourself into better behavior, keeping the pluses in your life and eliminating the minuses. His self – help approach is simple and perfect for skeptics; it’s not about positive thinking in the short term, but positive thinking in the long term. With intense love and more than a little political fallacy, he offers wise advice such as:

If you don’t feel happier as you get older, you’re doing it wrong.
Resist the media’s orders to expand vandalism stories.
If you’re in the same place as three years ago, wake up.
Don’t tweet while drinking.
Modern life is becoming more and more empty as society becomes more and more polarized, and even those who do not follow New Age beliefs are searching for comfort and meaning. In The Plus, Greg shows how skeptics too can make progress to improve their lives and heal their communities.

I enjoyed reading The Plus. Greg is able to get to each point he is covering in just a few pages, and this makes the book easy to read. The book is essentially a mix of Dr. Phil and Jourdan Peterson with examples from Greg’s life. I can relate to many examples that Greg has gone through and now I can see them in a different way. The book is well worth picking up and taking a few minutes to see if you’ve been “thrown a piece of hypocritical pie in my face”. I hope you enjoyed the book, I did.

I love it when someone can admit to being wrong. Greg explains the advantage of being willing to do so. He also details a perspective that will allow one to clear away the clutter and burdens that often adorn our outlook on life. A friend once told me that the Bible has many inconsistencies. I asked her if she was just repeating what she was told or if she had investigated on her own. She admitted she repeated. Don’t be a parrot. Think for yourself, investigate the truth, admit when you’re wrong. Greg, you are an acquired hobby and I mostly love you.
