Far from what you would expect in a foreign agent adventure, Matt Helm goes to his local bank to withdraw money for a new truck and discovers another twenty thousand dollars in his account. He soon discovered his government bank account also had another twenty thousand. He was one of three secret agents with an unexpectedly large deposit and was declared a traitor by the federal government for receiving an illegal sum. An encrypted phone call to his boss told him that “Mac” did not trust the evidence, but security forces turned against him and one of the other agents, “Roger” was located and killed in an escape attempt. His only hope is to find out who sent the money to relieve him. The chase takes him to Mexico, where a revolution to overthrow the government is in the planning stages and Matt Helm is in the midst of opposing forces.
