Deputy Sergeant David Wolf waited 16 years for the opportunity today to follow in his late father’s footsteps – to become Sheriff of Sluice County, based in the small ski resort town of Rocky Points, Colorado.

However, what he came up with was not quite what he expected. And for Wolf, rejection turned out to be far more difficult and dangerous than he could have predicted.

In this action-packed second novel by David Wolf, Wolf uses all his skills to escape certain death in the woods high in the Rocky Mountains, and in the process he reveals a worthy mystery. fear. Something that, if he could unravel, would be no less than rewriting his entire past, and making sure he was always around to see his future.

Great characters, nice personal touches on life and tension, it all makes for a great detective story. This is a great sequel to the first book. Lots of action and good pacing of the story. There were some surprises and some twists but also some predictable outcomes. I can’t stop listening. Sean Hopkins’ voice acting was excellent. There are only the first 3 at the moment – I’m sure hopefully more will be available soon.

I love this story so much. David Wolf is an interesting character. I like to focus on small-town politics and its connection to David’s personal life. The narrator is absolutely top notch. Love it. There is no dead point in the story. Makes you want to listen from start to finish

This is the 2nd book in the David Wolf series. It picks up right where Book 1 left off. Wolf had returned to Colorado from Italy with his brother’s body. He has solved the mystery of who killed his brother and why. During his absence, Derek Connell spread lies about the Wolf. Wolf lost his job as sheriff to Connell. Cornell’s father, Gary Connell, offered Wolf a job as security in his company. Wolf refused it. This angered eldest brother Connell, and began a series of events that led to the murder of Derek Connell, and the plot to murder Wolf’s ex-wife’s new boyfriend. Wolf is framed for all of this. Wolf finds out who is trapping him and why.

Good continuation of Wolf’s original story. Entertaining throughout and moving at a brisk pace for all the twists and turns as the story moves. Room at the end for further stories and so written that I will seek them out. I enjoyed this thrilling novel and its unique twists and turns, it was impossible to predict what might happen next. Totally mind. I can’t wait to read Book 3
