I love how this book continues the story and helps fill in some details from the CAKE. In terms of modern romance… I found the series very enjoyable, especially in Audible! I was excited to see the development of some of the supporting characters and to see some interactions with Jake and Casey. I loved watching Kyle and Kenzie’s love story grow and flourish in the reality TV arena.
What I really like about this story is how the main characters begin to move on with their lives after experiencing such terrible trauma. It really raises the bar in developing full characters instead of just romantic symbols.

Oh my god- this book has it all. Good narration, laughable characters and a great love story. Loved every minute and I really hope this series continues. The originality of these books is amazing. Lately I’ve been listening to a lot of books with the same plot genre and I love that this one is very different. You must listen to this!!

Love everything about it. If you read Cake, you must read this too. It just got better with so much love and laughter. I laughed so hard when I heard the book, it really broke my heart. Another part of what makes this book so good is that the storytellers bring it to life. After a good night’s sleep I will listen to Emma’s next story because I’ve been listening to it for more than 24 hours and can barely open my eyes but can’t stop listening until it’s finished, it’s such a wonderful book. how. Kyle and Kenzie are adorable and getting to know more about Jake and Casey’s lives is just a bonus
