I had the best day. You won’t believe it. I was in my preschool classroom, washing some poop from my soggy pants, when this wonderful boy came to pick up his grandson from my classroom.

Honestly, I thought I fainted for a second when I first saw him. He’s a real man with brilliant brown hair, pretty tall, and he has these arms. Do muscular arms excite me? I gasp just thinking about them.

Anyway, he told me that he is a professional football player. At least, I think that’s what he said. Car can be quite noisy near pick up time.

The Trouble with Quarterbacks is a hilarious romance about the hard-to-find love between an English preschool teacher and professional midfielder who keeps her on edge.

The Trouble With Midfielders is a steamy and odd read aloud. Candice is an English preschool teacher who has to work multiple jobs to make ends meet in New York City. One day, Logan picks up her grandson from her class and the two of them get into a conflict. Logan brazenly pursues Candice and at first she doesn’t want to date him. Why would a famous midfielder want to date her? Will she get fired if she gets involved with her student’s uncle? Eventually, Candice stops paying attention to all the reasons why she shouldn’t date Logan and gives in to him.

This seems like a typical romantic plot, but what makes it so interesting to me is the witty and clever dialogue and hilarious characters. I love Candice! She is now one of my favorite characters that Gray has written. She’s cute, crazy, funny and she’s not afraid to show off her flaws for everyone to see. Of course, Logan is well-deserved as a strong man willing to show his weakness. And I love Candice’s roommates who are just as crazy as she is!
