Based on the new James Bond film, Raymond Benson once again takes on the role of Bond. This time, the story is actually quite seamless with the movie, offering just a little more than the movie. It contains some background information about Elektra/Renard and what happened in the past etc., but not too much. Unlike Tomorrow Never Dies:A Novel, TWINE doesn’t add much to the film. Basically, if you’ve seen the movie and are a little misty-eyed about reading a Bond book or having to read what you saw in the movie, you probably don’t need to buy this movie. However, if you are a huge Bond fan or still want to read a Bond book, this is still a good read. If you watch the movie first, it will be easier for you to visualize the scenes. However, Raymond Benson has written better Bond novels than this, so choose more carefully.
