Have you ever been wrong about someone?

Juno was wrong about Winnie Crouch.

Before moving in with the Crouch family, Juno thought Winnie and her husband, Nigel, had a perfect marriage, a perfect son – a perfect life. Only now that she was living in their beautiful house did she see that the cracks in the crumbling facade were too deep to ignore.

However, she is not one to judge. After a grim diagnosis, the retired therapist just wanted a place to live out the rest of his days in peace. But that peace was shattered the day Juno overheard a cold conversation between Winnie and Nigel….

She shouldn’t be involved.

She really shouldn’t.

But this could be her chance to make some things right.

Because if you think Juno doesn’t have her own secrets, you’re wrong about her, too.

From the wickedly dark mind of bestselling author Tarryn Fisher, The Wrong Family is a tense new thriller that has twists in all the right places.

This book is definitely a different book than anything I have read before. It has a unique premise and a cast of characters that are both familiar in some ways, and hopefully unfamiliar in many other ways. Since there are so many reviews that summarize the story extremely well, I will go straight to the review part, this part will probably have a little summary in it, we will see when the words appear.
There were things about this book that I quite liked and there were also things that I didn’t like. This is a very slow-moving story. It has a lot of things built up. So much so that it seems to become almost boring. It’s not so much the build-up where you get to know your characters and the story line and so on. because, you need those things, it’s just a little bit stagnant and takes a very long time to get the hang of it. Now I love story time and lots of words but this story felt almost boring at times. When it comes to the end, some parts are great and some parts not so much but that’s nothing unusual.
All that said, what I like about it is how well it really fits together when things come together. When you figure out why people react the way they do or do the things they do, it all makes a lot of sense. The characters are well written in that they are clearly defined by their characteristics. You know why they are the way they are and why they become the way they are. I know this review is scattered and has few details, but I don’t want to spoil things, especially for a horror movie.
The author is an excellent writer so the writing quality is very good, the story only has a few problems, if all that makes sense. Would I recommend this? I will. I think you need to see for yourself how you feel about this book.
