Paradise is shattered once again in the second part of a wonderful series by Elin Hilderbrand, Irene Steele appears to lose her husband in a helicopter accident but that was not the case.

It is after his death that she comes to know that she and her sons lost the man many years ago as he was leading another life as well with another woman. He was faking the whole thing up for years with Irene and his sons, thus the family goes to St. John island where they are told that the other woman live.

It is not hate that we see, its curiosity that takes the family there. They want to know about the man whom they thought to be their father and a vital member of their personality. Ironically instead of knowing some hidden truths about their father’s hidden life they find something really disturbing about their own lives. Secrets they thought never existed, secrets that directly impact on their future lives as well.

Romance, family love along with an extra topping of deceit makes the book one of a kind and even better than Winter in Paradise and Summer of ’69. Mysteries open in layers that keep you engage all the time and the listener are always guessing what new there would be in the next chapter. Erin Bennett’s voice is allowed to unleash the full potential all over and no doubt the story needed a voice like that of Erin to hold things together in a strong way. Plot if strong like the previous book but it is the emotional scenario that surpasses everything in the story.
