A very strong ending to a series that had a weak start, at least according to the narrative. Karen White has really turned her narrative on this story between the first book making me question whether I could finish the series and the last one.

The story itself is the finished part of the story of the grown-up heir Elspeth. She changed throughout the trilogy and began to mature. In this book, you really get to see how much she returns home with her new powers and strange friends and jumps into the battle that threatens her whole life.
