Unique Book!

With both fictitious characters and those based on real historical characters (including Queen Elizabeth I and Mary Queen of Scots), this is a creatively imagined twist on the history of witchcraft in 16th Century England.

The main character, Alyce, is thrown into a dangerous adventure when her mother is hunted down and burned at the stake. Evading the witch hunters, coming to understand what she really is, and unraveling the mystery related to her birth, keeps Alyce reeling through the entire book.

This is a fast paced read that blends historical facts with fantasy and magic. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and recommend it to readers young and old.

I don’t review books! Leaving it to those more qualified than I is what I do……. However, I do read approximately 3 to 4 books a week in a combo of in the flesh and on audiobooks. I get to because I’m a commissioned artist, and hey suck it if your jealous…….giggles!!
On to the book.
Witch Born was very fast paced from the first page to, not exaggerating, the very last! I gobble up everything in this genre, and I have to say, this book is now my favorite of 2021! I’m so glad I took the chance on this purchase!

IMO this is a nice story but one of those you can provide to children a chapter at a time before bedtime. It felt like the first 3/4 of the book was everyday lifestyle information that could have summed up and the captivating details or journey’s happened in the last 1/4 of the book.
It’s a pleasant story but IMO, not worth a credit.
