Someone has just brought hell to the house of a woman who used to live alone with her newly born child. The invader has taken the baby with him and the mother of the child is in a deadly condition.

Between all of this, there is another woman who does not know why she is present on the spot. Her whole memory has been whitewashed because of an uncertain reason and she cannot even tell her correct name. Josie starts investigating by collecting the clues present in the house; the case gets linked to other crimes in the locality and also all around the city.

The young agent gets the hunch i.e almost the whole of the town seems to be in danger. Eilidh Beaton narrates Breathe Your Last and Vanishing Girls kind of a novel with extreme care. Such novels are always difficult to narrate because they not only need seriousness but the voice should also give a whispering touch during twists. The audience gets attentive because of this style of narration and focus does not shift to other things during the progress of the story. Even if a person goes through this novel more than one time he will not find any weakness in the book.
