Best Audiobook 2020 – James and the Giant Peach By Roald Dahl

Roald Dahl is a magnificent storyteller and he knows the art of capturing the attention of his listeners or readers for hours. He has written plenty of novels and short stories for people of all ages. James and the Giant Peach is a book written specifically for children. It is an action and adventure book with an engaging tale for children. A few of his other great works for children include The BFG and The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar.

The narration of this chapter by Roald Dahl is done by Julian Rhind-Tutt. The narrator was quite awesome and enjoyable and ideally helped in making this story come to life. Children will find the tone very friendly and amusing for sure.

After the parents of James Henry Trotter are eaten tragically by a rhinoceros then the next thing he does is to go live with his two awful aunts. Those aunts were Sponge and Spike. Life is no fun at all there until one day, James inadvertently drops some enchanted crystals just by the deep-rooted peach tree and that was the time when some really weird strange things started to happen.  The peach started to grow at the top of the tree and got as big as a house. James met a group of oversized mates inside who were a centipede, grasshopper, ladybug, and a lot more. That was the time when some really exciting adventure began.

Roald Dahl is known for his wonderful imagination. Not only the kids but adults will like this book too. It will keep you guessing throughout that what will happen next and that is the unique selling point of this story.
