Single dad Cameron Bennett is a wealthy architect who works long hours on buildings in Savannah. Harper was in dire need of money so she applied even though she didn’t have any experience with children. Imagine her shock when her interview took place at the same house she messed up at the bachelorette party. She had to go because she couldn’t pass up the money-making opportunity she was looking for. She was delighted when she got the job. But can she take care of the little girl?

Although Harper is loose in her dress and behavior, she still has a kind heart. Harper is amazing to be with Bella. Bella was shown to have an eating disorder. But Harper patiently worked with her on this. His previous life was different from his present, rich life. However, not everyone in this story is great. I love the way things play out in this touching book.

Harper is exactly what the little family needs and since she befriends both father and daughter, her unusual personality offers hope and healing. This well-written novel finds myself becoming immersed in the characters’ lives and trusting that they will find the solutions each needs.
