Full of family secrets again, Nora Roberts presents families in the oddest of ways in almost all the novels. Family business gets the introduction first in this novel and everyone is told about the resort that spreads on more than thirty thousand acres. 

The business and the land have been in the family for almost four generations and at present it is under the control of Bodine Longbow. She is keeping things well under control and it is not a tough job because she is gifted a large staff by her ancestors.

 In her staff is Callen Skinner, a trustworthy person who is always with the boss in all decision makings and other such issues. Not only the resort; Bodine takes care of the family and its secrets as well. One name that the family cannot speak is Alice, an old member of the family who ran away from the house years ago. Most of the new generation now thinks that Alice is dead but she still exists with terrible secrets in her heart. 

Bodine never thought that she would need Alice again in the family but the murder of the bartender near the resort makes things tough for the family. Police suspects the honor in the first murder but then there is another quite near the resort once again. 

More surprisingly with the second murder Alice comes to the scene with a surprise package. Hideaway and Montana Sky were women’s fiction and this one too focuses on two women who never thought they would confront each other in life.

Elisabeth Rodgers’ pitch slips in one or two chapters and the issue is the balance of voice not the clarity. The rest is fine from the side of the author and the narrator.
