No one could have created the scene of a Christmas Train better than David Baldacci; it seems that the author himself has visited such a train in his life. Only after watching such a thing in detail and for a long time a writer can write such a masterpiece. The novel takes us into the train with it and for a moment instead of keeping an eye on the story and the narration of Tim Matheson we get dazed by the scene of the train. There are great hustle and bustle on the train and everyone is expecting a good journey because it is Christmas Eve. All of the passengers are going on holiday and they are hopeful of meeting their dear ones.

The novel was also a shocker for some of the critics who thought David could only write stories like The Innocent: A Novel and The Hit. From action and fiction turning to this category was difficult but is done nicely and with full devotion. Tom Langdon, the character who gets the introduction first in the novel is a journalist by profession. The man does not look in a happy mood because he has been hit hard by life.

Also, an incident at the airport forced him to adopt the train journey because of which he is annoyed. Here when Tom enters the train he witnesses a new world which has kind of people he has not observed for ages. This train journey also allows him to meet the love of his life that he lost long ago. So the Christmas magic exists in this case where Tom’s life gets a twist.
