I love a redemption story. Like really, really love. And Sparkle and Shine is it. Maybe I’ve never been so mad at Rich. Maybe deep down I know that he can be redeemed and become the boyfriend of my dreams. I was very right. I love Rich and Alex’s story, but more than that I love Marla Holt’s writing style. She has a beautiful style and storytelling. Her pacing is perfect, her romance is top notch, and her characters are completely unique and varied. Sparkling and shining is a new hobby for me and I think it might be for you too!

This turbulent romance is both a story of second chances and a story of redemption. And it’s really the combination that gives it that deeply emotional punch. I also really like how Rich and Alex’s past has shaped them and how they matured through their problems to find happily ever after (sorry if that’s revealing but thinking). After all, this IS a romance story.) Rich certainly has a lot to prove to Alex and readers, and I’m happy to say that he surpassed all of my expectations. Just a beautifully executed story all around.
