Fans of the New York Times number one bestselling Sookie Stackhouse novel by Charlaine Harris will find much to be excited about in this companion book to the immensely popular series. The unpublished novel and an exclusive interview with HBO’s True Blood creator Alan Ball. Sookie himself guides listeners on a behind-the-scenes tour of Bon Temps, shows them the werewolf and werewolf communities, provides a glimpse of close friend Tara’s clothing store rack, and introduces Merlotte’s bar where Sookie makes a living.

Like most fans, I’ve read every Sookie Stackhouse novel and short story, and watched True Blood religiously every Sunday. I keep my own list in order of novels and short stories, and there are a lot of questions about how Charlaine Harris created the Sookie Universe and its characters. This book answered all of my questions and then some.

First of all, I want to give special thanks to Beverly Battillo and Victoria Koski, both of whom seem to have provided a lot of information to help this companion become a goalkeeper.

I ordered this book just because I am completely obsessed with Charlaine Harris’ writing and especially Sookie’s books. This is a great addition to the series. It’s great as a reference when re-reading the novel due to the in-depth guide to Sookie’s world as well as the excellent map showing the area where the novel is set in detail as well as the unexpected short story I didn’t expect. Wait and Q&A from Charlaine.

There are also recipes mentioned in the books that I think are great. Overall, I’m really pleased with it and it has taken a proud place on one of my many bookshelves along with the rest of Charlaine’s books. Keep up the good work Miss Harris.
